Has anyone tried Satellite T.V. on your computer?

I keep seeing these ads to watch satellite t.v. on your computer. The ads usually say they have a one time fee and several hundred channels available. What I want to know is if the fee is in fact only a one time fee, if the service is reliable and any other general likes and dislikes that go along with doing this. Would you do again? Thanks for your input.
