Davao at last!

What Davao is famous for: DURIAN! - This was taken in one of Davao's streets. We wanted to try the Durian fruit, the most famous produce of the city.

After a long time of just wishing, I finally found the time and most importantly the money to actually go and visit Davao. Davao is as beautiful as what they described. Although we, me, my boyfriend and I did not have the chance to visit all the recommended sites, we did get to see Samal Island. I would like to tell all of our adventures there in this post but it would prove to be a very long post if I did. In any case, I just want to share that I had a wonderfull time and if given the chance to visit the place again, I would say yes without any second thoughts!

I went to Davao for the first time last June with my boyfriend and some of my friends. It was a great experience! For the first day we went to the Gaisano Mall, then to the Crocodile Park and the Butterfly Farm. I've never seen so many crocodiles and butterflies as I did then! We also got to play paintball for just 50 pesos, which is really really cheap compared to Manila. We then had dinner at the Ahfat Seafoods Plaza, then went to Victoria Plaza, and capped the night off with a cup of coffee at Bo's Coffee Club, where they had durian-flavored coffee (which they don't have in Manila). The next day we went to the Eden Nature Park, where the view was breathtaking. On the same night we went to see Jack's Ridge, then proceeded to Matina Town Square to play pool and get some drinks. For the other days we went to Aldevinco Shopping Center, heard mass at the San Pedro Cathedral, and went back to the Gaisano mall again. My absolute favorite part of the trip though was the visit to the Pearl Farm Beach Resort. It was really beautiful, plus the buffet lunch that we had was scrumptious. Too bad we only got to stay for a few hours. But we made the most out of our stay there. Davao is a really great place. I haven't seen all the recommended places to visit but based on what I did get to see, I would really like to go back sometime given the opportunity. Although I would also love to go to other places first like Palawan or Camiguin and Cagayan de Oro before I go back to Davao. =)

I have been to a lot of places in the country but I haven't been to Davao. I do plan to visit is soon and spend some vacation there. I have heard so many wonderful things about Davao too and the exotic fruits there are simply out of this world and must be experienced at least once in a person's lifetime.
