Yes thats right it was really cold this morning when I woke up so I broke down and turned it on. Actually we are pretty lucky because at this time of the year we usually have our heat on. So thats not bad at all. It felt nice and toasty after I put the heat on. Did you put your heat on yet?

Hi Terry, We have had the heat on in our house for about a week now. It really is sad when it's time to turn the heat on because then it's official that winter and the white stuff will be coming soon :( Have a great day! Love & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.

We have had to turn our heat on several times this month. The fireplace is often seen with a log blazing too. We are trying to conserve as best as we can. The plastic will be going on the windows this weekend. As soon as the weather is in the 30's at night, the plastic goes on.

not yet, and actually here we use the air-conditioner more often instead of heater. it's not cold enough here to use a heater.

Our weather is so cray that I have been turning the heat on at night, then the AC on during the day!! It gets too cold at night to leave it off and just so darn hot during the day!! I can't get away from swinging back and forth.

We turned the heat on last week. It has been getting down to about 40 at night, and only up to the high 50's during the daytime. I had frost on my car this morning when I looked out the window.

I turned my heat on one night because my mom chastised me for being so cold and not turning it on. Of course she had hers on at her house. I thought it would get warm again, and to save money, I just left it off. She convinced me to turn it on, and the next day the temperature was like 10 degrees warmer, LOL. So next time I'll listen to my instincts. But we are lucky because this is around the time it gets cold around here too. Today the high is 75 degrees, and although mornings are cold, I just sleep with a blanket and I'm fine. But I look forward to waking up in the mornings and the heat keeping me warm!

We have no heat in our house yet. Hopefully we will be able to afford to turn on the gas service on Nov 16th. It has been getting down into the low 30's here at night. We are using a kerosene heater in the mornings to warm up the house. With the rising gasoline prices we are struggling to make ends meet. Adding a gas bill to our budget is really going to hurt.

I know the feeling. I hope you stay warm. I know what its like not having heat in the house last year when were living in another house the heater broke and were without heat for 2 weeks and there was snow outside. But we had little space heaters.

Our royal highness, the landlord, decrees when we have heat on, and yes now we do but barely...he's gotten real cheap about the heating situation..used to be so hot during the winter that would sometimes have the windows open and fans going on..that's how hot it would be--now there's still a chill in the house...yikes,..can't win here..but at least my two kitties keep me warm as I sleep.

My heat has been on for a week or so..Mostly I put it on in the morning just to take the chill off and then off during the day and on again at night...It is on right now because it is chilly out and hubby is sick and it feels so nice and cozy....

We've had to have the heat on for a few weeks now. The mornings are very chilly and so are the evenings so its been pretty nice to have the heat turned on. I think we turned it on about the same time last year too.

I've turned on our gas heater once this week and haven't since. Today is a lot colder than the past few days so it might come on in the afternoon when my son gets home. I really am not looking forward to winter time!

I live in Connecticut and I've used the heat sparingly this year. After I got my oil bill I was determined to use it as little as possible. I moved my son's room downstairs where our fireplace is so they stay warm. I'm determined not to make the oil company's rich this year.
