Have you ever used a frecycle.com site in your area?

I'm a member of 3 freecycle sites in my area and they are awesome. I've gotten rid of quite a few things that have been hanging around my apartment that I didn't use or need and was happy to find someone how could. I had put a post for a Christmas tree on the site for my city since I really can't afford to buy one but will if it comes down to it. I got a reply from a woman only streets away from me saying she had ornaments but no tree and I figured since I only have a few that I would take them. She gave me a large storage box full of awesome ornaments plus a tree stand that had to be very expensive. Most of the ornament boxes haven't even been opened yet. Also in the box is Avon ornaments (she's an Avon lady) that aren't opened either and they are gorgeous! Do you ever use a freecycle site in your area? Have you ever checked to see if there is one available to you? I don't know if they are any place else on the internet but I found them on yahoo.
