What is the Star Rating?

I don't know what does the icon of the "Star Rating" mean, how can I achieve to have at least one "Star Rating" and what are the benefits of having a "Star Rating" as a mylot user. Can somebody explain to me what do I need to know? Thank you.

To get your star ratings, you have to reach 100 posts first. Then a star will pop up, this will be your ratings. They are distinguished by colors and numbers inside, a blue star with a 10 inside it as the highest and 1 with light-blue as the lowest.
So to receive a high star, you have to post for QUALITY discussions and always provide descriptive informations on every post you make (discussions started, comments and discussions you've replied to).

Thank you very much raijin for answering to my question. So now first of all I have to reach 100 posts and then I will also have a "Star Rating" like you and many other mylot users. I will try to do my best to achieve 100 posts first and then I will simply continue to be as descriptive as possible on every post that I make. Thank you again.
