What should I do?

i read somewhere "do not teach pigs to sing, it wastes your time and it bothers the pig!" what does it mean? well, you cannot change people, it must initiate from within themselves. if you are really not happy with your work, there is always a choice. always remember that. however, sometimes the choice is not a desirable one. if you really see no hope, find another job.

If you join any company however good they look from distance, once you get in there will always be problems like: 1. You are not recognized 2. Colleagues are not positive thinking 3. Many people are not working but still get recognition 4. Boss will always take on you Hundreds of such things repeat in different volumes and there is no such thing as job satisfaction. What is important is adaptability to situation and environment in which you work. You have to learn only [3 A's] that is ACCEPT - Accept what people are. You cannot and should not go on change them. It is frustrating. APPRECIATE what they are: Try and give now and then, appreciation in words or in writing for whatevery they ahve done, for you it looks trivial, but for them it is a big work done. Keep appreciating. ADJUST - with everyone. I feel everyone should become psychologists to understand other's behaviours, idiosyncrasies (including our own) and accordingly adjust to some extent, a bit of give and take. Adjust means do not give up your originality. If a boss scolds you, just listen and ignore. If he is right, take it in right spirit. If he is wrong, just tell him in plain words that h is wrong. Many egoist bosses do not like their mistakes to be pointed out.
