I think for Dhoni Sachin Tendulkar was his role model. It is a dream come true for Dhoni to play with Sachin Tendulkar. Both are very good players. Dhoni has come only recently while Sachin Tendulkar has been there for a long peroid of time. I think Sachin Tendulkar has a very good record and he has played more than 400 ODIs. I believe that Dhoni will also become like Sachin Tendulkar with lots of experience after couple of years with a very good record and someday someone will come as Dhoni in team India for whom Dhoni wil lbe role model like Sachin was role model for Dhoni.

there is nothing wrong in it to think like that but most of people will like sachin only they will said that sachin is there heore if you ask them and after dhoni.as he has to go for a long journey which sachin completed and still going on.

Sachin Tendulkar is definitely a better and a greater cricketer than dhoni and the children always have an eye on him. But dhoni caught a lot of attraction with his hair style and sixes so the children today are more inclined to enjoy dhoni's cricket than Sachin. But sachin rocks and i think he will never be out of the children's heart what so ever. Moreover our Yuvaraj is there to compete with dhoni for the sixes rates.
