First, let me say Happy Halloween!! Until last night, my 9 year old son wasn't sure what he wanted his costume to wear, Last year, he and his friend went as gangsters, from the 1920's. He wanted to dress as Scarface this year, he was just going to wear the same costume from last year, he was just going to call himself Scarface. Yesterday, before soccer practice, he had the idea to wear his older brothers old band uniform. A couple of years ago, the marching band got new uniforms, and they sold the old ones, so I bought a couple of them, he and his friend will each be wearing one. What will your child be wearing tonight?

Since I have gotten a terrible case of the flu, I was unable to go buy costumes this year. But I did find a website called RavensBlight that had maskes that you cut out and put together. So my oldest was a gladiator, my 9 yr old was a knight, and the twins were each half a skeleton.
They all thought it was really neat that their costumes weren't bought and that I put time and effort into making the masks. Then they just went through all the play clothes until they found things like a play sword and armor.

That's great about the costumes. I'm sorry you have the flu, that really stinks, I hope you're feeling better. I got a flu shot last week, and I've been sick all week too with allergies and an upper respiratory infection.
