In most families there are kids with special needs. Is there one in your family and how do you help them feel loved?

My son had problems..which he now seems to have worked out or adjusted too and is doing fine...but to make him feel loved..I let him know how proud I was of his accomplishments. I hugged him and let him know I loved him. I work now with developmentally disabled adults. They know I love them because I do things that make them happy. I have one guy who loves to shop, I take him with me whenever I can and let him do as much as he is capable of doing. He smiles the whole time. He gets hugs and pats on the back all of the time, I let him know when he does something right and I thank him for helping. I still am trying to teach him, and he is a willing student and praise him when he does right. It was nice the first time he smiled when he saw me, it took over 7 months to get the smile, but he made my day
