If you could sell anything you own what would it be?

I have a stand up planter stand that although it's very nice to look at I never have and probably never will use. I've tried selling it on craigslist for $5 and it's worth much more than that since it's wrought iron and has very intricate leafy decoration on it. I did get one email for it but nothing ever happened with it so that was that. I'm probably going to end up putting it on freecycle where I'm sure it will go and I'll be able to get rid of it.
What would you sell if you could? Is there something in your home that you just don't use or want any more?

Hubby and I have a weight bench with weights and bar that we don't ever use and I'd love to sell it but it would be too costly for the buyer to pay for the shipping so I don't bother. It probably wouldn't bring in much but something at this point is better than nothing. Other than that, maybe I could sell some sort of service such as cleaning houses or something of that sort but where do I start with letting one know?

As for the weight bench have you ever tried craigslist? It would only be for people in your area who would pick it up. I have sold a few things on there and it's great. While you're at it you could post a service such as house cleaning too. They have lots of those.

You know, I've heard of the craigslist but didn't know exactly what it was. That's pretty neat! Thanks for telling me about it, I'll have to check it out. It just might bring in some badly needed income which would help us a GREAT deal. THANKS!!

Hello Ctrymuziklvr,
I'm sorry I missed your leafy plant stand on Craig's list. It sounds lovely. Rather reminiscent of my patio wrought iron planters -- grape-leaf design. Which I think are beautiful.
I have a many things around the house that I should get rid of. I've never bothered trying to sell any of it, as I've figured it wasn't worth the headache and shipping nightmares. I usually end up making a trip to a local Hospice second hand shop a couple of times per year to donate those items that we no longer use.
My rule of thumb is: unless it's a tool, if it hasn't been used or worn in a year, then it's gotta' go.

That SHOULD be my motto but obviously isn't. If I don't put it up on ebay it just hangs around taking up space. That's one thing I hate about myself!

If I could sell my furniture I would be happy. They are not in the greatest shape so I really want to get rid of them inorder to buy another set. I normally sell my items I no longer need on Ebay. I have clothing, household decorative items, toys, etc.

For the larger items I usually go to craigslist. That way I don't have to deal with mailing because they come to pick up the items they bought and I get cash in hand!

I have some own furniture that is in storage that I want to get rid of. Maybe I should list it as free in craigs list. Its worn out and probaby dirty now that its in storage but if I don't have time I am going to get rid of it. I have a few other furniture to get rid of too. I have never thought to sell it on craigs list, hmmm.!

Love your pumpkin!...cl is a good place to get rid of stuff whether you want money for it or to give it away. If you want to give it away you should also try a freecycle.com in your area.

Being the hoarder that I am, ctry, I really hate to get rid of anything. The thing that I probably could live without the most is a brass desk lamp given to me by my ex for Valentine's Day 3 years ago. I rarely use it because it requires a special light bulb and I can rarely remember to look for one when I go shopping. So, most of the time it just sits there on my bedside table collecting dust.

Maybe you can live without it but it sounds like a very nice lamp. You have to make it a point to pick up that bulb for it!

I have quite a number of things, both new and second-hand, which will likely be of value to people. The things I can readily think of are several branded bags which were given to us as presents, a dozen collectible CDs, old IT and decor magazines, some novels, a brand new mini-hifi set which was won in a competition, used clothes in very good condition, jigsaw puzzles, a magazine rack and some DVDs of movies. I have not thought of selling on eBay, but every few months, my estate organizes flea markets for residents, so I may just try selling them there when the next one comes around, probably around Christmas time.

I have three things to sell, Booklet on How to recycle your Motor Oil, and how to run your car on Synthetic Fuel, another Booklet How to start your own business with little or no money, the last is a DVD I made excercise for the couch potato, I have tried on e-bay but no one bought them, I guess people are not into improvement of life, they are interested in pleasures.
