My girlfriend got fired from a daycare she worked at, racial discrimination????

Of course in a daycare parents continue to send their children no matter how sick or healthy. My girlfriend caught a cold from one of these children (it was rumored that some sicknesses were going around) and she was coughing really bad and lost her voice. She of course was unable to go in to work so when she attempted to call out the directer accused her of lying and fired her over the phone. I don't want to pull out the racism card but my girlfriend was the only black person working at this daycare. She was verbally harassed at work ( constantly asking about her religion or race). Other girls there constantly doing hair and taking breaks, but when my girlfriend wanted to take a seat to get off her feet for 15 mins. while kids are sleeping she gets yelled at that she's not getting paid to sit around. I bring up this point because she was working from 6:00 AM to 6:00PM. Other girls called out all the time and were employed here a little bit longer than my girlfriend. Is there any way I would have a case in court for wrong termination or racial discrimination. I would be happy with any input. By the way its in Florida I don't know if they are a "we can fire you for any reason state."
