My husband brings home all the bread and butter. i do my litte share here and there on my little online earning programs and what not but nothing more then gas money for the month. He works his butt off 50-60 hours a week to support me, my pregnat belly and our 6 year old daughter. i feel horrible in the matter, and i know he is miserable in his current job has been the last 6 years he has been there. But he says that he will do what he has to for his family and that i shouldnt worry about working htat if it came down to that he would go out adn ust get a second job.. hes such a sweet heart!

Dont belittle yourself so much..Being a mother is really a full time job. You take care of your baby and your daughter and cook and clean. Even though you may not make a big buck you are doing little things which are necessary for a happy home.

Of course..I know sometimes its a temptation for mothers to feel like they arent doing anything...but mothers do the most. .I had a good friend quote a phrase to me "the hand that rocks the cradle shapes the world" ..More things are done that remain unseen than those which can be captured by the human eye;)

My husband and I both have to work. But he earns more than me. It doesn't matter, because I am the one who is in charge of the money:)

Now that is a pretty good answer there..lol. You are in charge of the money ..meaning you make sure all the bills are paid and enough is held back for groceries, gas, etc etc? Does your husband turn over his payroll check when he gets home?

Right now, it's my husband. I am a stay-at-home mom. I used to earn much more than he did when we were married...but we decided that it would be better for me to stay at home. I did work for a short period when my older son started full time school...but it was part-time and convinient. I will consider working outside the home once my second child is older but not in a field where I would get higher pay (that comes with it's set of responsibilities which I am not ready for).

There are all kinds of works.. those that are seen and which you have proof that you actually did something and the many unseen works..long hours of cleaning house making meals and being there for mr hubby when he comes home;)

What you have to do ..is invite him to stay home and do all the housework etc.. I think ..that show ... wife swap..which I use to watch..really gives men a chance to see what their wives do..because during the swap usually the host family ..has a different way for men to live then they are use to..and when they finally get their wife back after the swap they had really come to appreciate what they had done for them.

lol...just tell that to my husband. He thinks staying at home is the easiest thing to do. I agree his work is hard and he has to travel quite a bit but my job at home is equally hard and actually I thought the time when I was working was easier (though I was doing a lot of things then)

The money maker here is my hubby. And I want to help him raise money for the family because its hard to see him do all the work just to keep us and provide what this family needs. I want to work as a couple not because im oblige to do so,in contrary with this statement my hubby dont want me to work and expose myself to a working place because he dont want me harassed by my boss and he wants to avoid that. But I will do everything to help i will seek other alternatives to do my part as the wife and the mother and keep our relationship in peace and harmonious inside and out!

Lucky you that your husband so cares for you that he would much rather you stay at home.. It's a battlefield out there and the young bosses are not as nice as the older bosses..Though they have the power and know how they don't always have the polished edge older bosses have.. If you would find a job and a younger boss would insult you .your heart would be shattered:)

It is nice that you are a student. I am sure your studies will prepare you to some day make money as well. I bet your father works really hard? What kind of work does he do? What do you study in school?

Well, as I'm retired, I'm not sure if it's all right to say that I'm the main money maker in my home. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that I'm the main money receiver in my home. My wife works, but her income is less than mine.

That is a nice way to look at it: "the main money receiver in the home" .. I never ever heard of it put that way:)

My husband earns for the family. Myself looks after the kid, does the house work and earns some money online. That money is used to buy things for home like dinner set, wardrobes, for family celeberation like birthday. I have applied for jobs now and praying that God may help me. I do not have job experience. So that is an obstacle for me in getting job. 5-6 years since I earned my degree and never went for a job. I will post a reply if I am successful in finding one before the end of the year.

Hi littlefranciscan! My husband is the one who brings home the bacon. he is the one who works and earns and I am the one who spends it. haha..just joking. Before we got married and the first year of our marriage, I have two businesses that I own and manage but because of some health issues, my husband ask me to give it all up and just to take things slow and if possible, just start a home based business. Well, I did but I do miss earning a lot with my own sweat. Take care and have a nice day.

Well I'm not married, but my boyfriend is the bread winner here. I make a little extra online to spend on things I want to get for around the house, but as far as bills he covers all that. I really hate being at home all the time too. I have been looking for a job but seems like there just isn't anything out there right now. Hopefully soon...
