hi... i just bought my new retractable USB optical mouse. i have been using optical mouse for a long long time.
how about you? USB? Serial? PS2?
the only thing that i dont like about wireless mouse is that it rather expensive for me... coz i have to buy batteries for it, that's all... hehehe... so unlike the other mice... that all you need to do is plug it right into a laptop or computer for power...hehehehe..
and i have this favorite... it's an ergonomics mouse, very light.... and it's optical... what i like particularly about this mouse is that it has 2 scrolls: vertical and horizontal, good for designs in photoshop. moreover... it has forward and back buttons, good for browsing the net and windows explorer. then there's the generic left and right buttons for left-clicking and right clicking.
the only problem is that, it is designed for desktop computers. several months ago i switched to a laptop and it kept on snagging..i mean, the cable that drawing a straight line becomes squiggly... i have to exert more effort to control my movements, making vectoring, a slower progress.
now, i am quite happy with my retractable mouse, though i has way lesser buttons and only has one scroll: vertical. the cable can be lengthened to a maximum of 30 feet and reeled in and shortened to my comfort level. no more snagging for me...
now, im off to try it out... good day

well, I guess you do a lot more then I do with the computer, I just use it for internet, word or excel most of the time, most typing than anything... at the begining was to hard to use the mouse in the laptop, but now I think I am used to...
Have a great day!

hi... i still like my old mouse. the only difference is that it has retractable pulley for the cable... so you can control the length. that's all. so you have a new laptop?

I tried using the ordinary mouse before but it was too bulky. I bought a USB optical mouse but it was only functional for 2 weeks. The red light does not turn on anymore when ever I plugged it into the USB port. So I had to buy another mouse, this time a mouse with a wheel at the center but it's still the ball type. It's convenient, very cheap and durable and not sensitive to movements unlike the optical mouse I had before.

hi... actually, i heard some people complaining about optical mouse... but for my many years of use of optical mouse, i never ever experienced that. i never liked ball typed ps2 mouse since it is rather difficult for digital designs... hmm...maybe it is the brand? i really like a4tech... and it is still working until now...though as i mentioned i just bought a new one coz of the retractable wire...and it is rather sensitive to my hand movement which works the way i need it... take care...

I use a Logitech Wireless Laser mouse. The batteries last much longer than in a regular Optical mouse. The reciever plugs into the PS/2 port. I avoid USB mice since I don't see the point of using up a USB port that can be used for other devices. PS/2 works just as well for a mouse.
