Life Is Not A Dress Rehearsal

My friend has lots of sayings but my favourite is, 'life is not a dress rehearsal'. This is so true but so many of us live life as though it was just that. I used to but have seen the error of my ways thanks to my friend. Do you live your life as though it was a dress rehearsal? Do you know people who do? Or do you wring every last drop out of every day because you know this day will never come again?

well i think life is about living this once..u neva get the 2nd chance....enjoy this lifetime day by day coz ur ain't gonna get it bac!!!

To tell you the truth, this is the very first time I've heard about this saying. And I would say, I like it too. With your question, I admit, that there are times I tend to forget the importance of every second, every minute we have here on earth. The world is full of things that leads you to do so. You become so busy....you tend to forget about your real purpose on earth. You tend to forget that every minute we have here, is a blessing. You tend to think, you have all your time here on earth, and that your time will never run out. And I guess for me, what I have to do, everytime I will forget about that reality, is to think about this saying, so that I would be able to savor every minute I have here on earth!

Oh yes this is so true, I think most people think they are here forever, I have lost a lot of family and friends over the past few years and I now think very often how short life really is and you are right it isn't a dress rehearsal as far as we know...we should all try and make the most of the gift of life,,,
