Would you go to the funeral of someone you don't know?

I did. Yesterday a friend of mine asked me to go to a funeral with her. Her ex-boyfriend was going to be there and she is afraid of him. It was very weird. The kid that died was only 20 years old and his Mother was buring him on halloween. I felt like everyone was staring at me wondering who the heck I was and why was I there. If I had it all to do over again, I would still go because the ex-boyfried DID show up.
