Here are a few tips to help with Allergys, I deal with them every year around this time and in the spring.
If you can put allergen-proof covers over pillows and mattresses so dust mites can't escape.
Wash blankets every one to two weeks in very hot water to kill dust mites.
Hang shades or blinds instead of curtains.
Mold grows in moist soil, so limit houseplacts to only two or three per room.
turn on the air conditioner, it filters the air and creates the kind of dry cool atmosphere that inhibits mold growth.
Mold loves the damp darkness of closets, so place some calcium carbonate stones inside your closets to absord moisture.
Try some of these ideals to help you this year with Allergys.

The air conditioner seems to make it harder for my husband to breathe he hates the air cinditioner becasue of it and has already tooken it out of the window. But he never really let me use it once he was home anyhow. Mold we do have a problem with and it seems to really only be in one of the bedrooms which has sheetrock in it. It sweats and mildew and since it is a bedroom the dressers also get moldy and the bed anything against the walls. It is the master bedroom of the house we are going to try to replace it with either paneling or paperless sheetrock. I try to keep the beds clean as possible by vaccuming off my bed once a week and keeping the covers clean but it is still sometimes impossible to Keep the allergens down since my room has a dampness to it especially if it rains or has alot of moisture out. Where would I find this Calium Carbonate? And the price would be? Thanks for the tips I will try to incorprate them in with my fall cleaning.

Hey thanks for getting back to me on that I appreciate it. I am supposed to go into town tomorrow. I will check it out at Lowes and our other local hardware store. I guess if they are truly needed and they work then it is really a necessity to have them and not really think of the cost but the help they give and the money they save when things don't get ruined due to mildew and mold and a big help for the allergies.

This is a bad time of the year for me too when it comes to allergies, hoghoney. I have been stocking up on medications, but your tips will come in handy since we could all do with a little less medicine. It seems like mine get worse each year.
