I think there is.. He didn't inform ne1 abt steeping down as captain beforehand, and therefore the selectors are fumed over it.. I think Dravid made a big mistake by steeping down as captain.. He was playing excellent cricket when he was the captain of the team, but since his stepping down, he's not been in the best of forms, and that's the reason why he was dropped from the last ODI against Aussies... But i think a player of his calibre shud b in the team all the time...

No i dont think internal politics was there in dropping dravid. It is very evident from the australian series that he has totally gone out of form and he needs a lot of rest and practice to get back into the Wall shape. So its good that he is out of the team for this series. Let him take rest and have peace of mind. I am sure he'll be back with a bang for next series.

There is no doubt that there was internal politics on dropping dravid from the team. Internal politics and indian cricket has been two twin brothers/sisters which cannot be seperated forever.
Another funny happening was selecting sehwag in place of dravid. Sehwag has been a disaster as far as batting is concerned and has performed poorly even in 20-20 series but still he has been given another chance. I am really amused the indian selectors select indian team and on what basis they do the selection!!!
