i don't think so.i think the selectors have made a grave mistake.i mean to say that the only thing sehwag can do is thrash the bowlers.but there are plenty of people in the Indian team who can do the job better these days.i think it'd have been better to add someone who has the ability to stay in the middle and consolidate.

Lack of foot work in him is the major drawback. The timing and the judgement of the of the delivery his does it very well. But apart from the wild lusty big hits, through which he became famous, he had many drawbacks, Slow mover in the field, and the reflexes are comaparably slow to that of other youngsters.
Probably he may be given one last chance,Even to judge the him by his performance on home ground dont count much, One must give and rate how will one perform in foreign soil, like that of Aussies and in England.

It all depends on sehwag on what approach he follows in the series.. I don't think the selectors have made a wrong decision, they have shown pretty much faith in him after Dravid was not there in the team.. So, he needs to make full use of everything that comes his way...

i hope it is a right choice to take him in.before T20 his performance is poor and he didn't played well but in T20 he played nice and at the same time now in ranji he has done a good job.i hope that he will play well in upcoming series with pakistan and gives india a good opening.

I dont think the selectors have made a wrong decision. Sehwag performed really well in the challenger series and i think against pakistan, he has always been a terror. so its good that he is playing the game and i expect a lot from him.
And i think this is the chance where he can prove that he is a great player still.

His selection is obviously a big blunder...he couldn't even perform well in the Challenger Series...i still dont know why he is being given importance!! Dravid would have been a better bet!!

Sehwag has been given so many chances than any other cricketer in the world in indian cricket and he has been not proving his selection not a bit by playing worse in every series. I really don't understand why selectors have again gone back to sehwag instead of going for some selectors. Kaif has been sidelined despite his fielding brilliance but sehwag even does not have that. I feel that indian selectors are a bunch of jokers who select team on the basis of something other than cricket talents.
The selection of sehwag is the biggest example of that.

I think it is the right choice to chose sehwag. People may feel its not worth to have a player who is not in form, but one should keep in mind that sehwag is a match winner. With his presence the team has more solidity in betting lineup. Since Dravid is a kind of player who is more suited for test match cricket, our team should have players who can make runs at a faster pace.
I think its better to give him a chance.
