Have you ever stepped on a dead mouse?

When I was a kid, I was deathly afraid of mice. And, then one morning, I got up and stumbled to the bathroom. On my way, I stepped on what I thought was a squished tomato. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was actually a dead mouse. Of course, I screamed so loud that I woke up the entire house. Fortunately, I didn't get sick. I guess it's possible to get sick from mice. Ever since then, I haven't been so afraid of mice. Have you ever stepped on a mouse or rodent?
