Be with natures

In the olden days or at the initial stages of our civilization, we were more close with the nature and we were having a strong bonding too with the nature. But more we became modernized, more we have come away from nature.
This is one of the reasons why the human values have changed a lot and the humans are becoming less humane and going more money minded.
And the root cause for all these things is the desire. If we are able to control our desire and are pleased with a moderate life, we shall be able to sort out most of the anxieties and the problems that arise because of that.
Different views are welcome.

I don't agree that desire is the root of all evil. That's one of the reasons that I call what I do with Yoga 'practicing asana'... I don't actually practice yoga in that I don't subscribe to some of the beliefs like suppressing desires, or eating a vegetarian diet. People can certainly follow a vegetarian diet if that's what they want to do, certainly, but I don't believe it's necessary in order to experience the spiritualness of life. Desires are part of the joy of being alive. In fact it was my desire to spend more time in nature that caused me to move away from Los Angeles. The sky was usually brown there and everywhere I looked I saw cement and ugly buildings. I was stressed out all the time.
Now I'm living in the mountains and I am so much happier. I walk in the woods by the river every day, I look out my windows and see mountains and trees. I hear birds chirping and the breeze in the trees. (I couldn't think of a way to say that without rhyming!)
Of course I still sometimes experience a little stress, like when it comes time to pay my electric bill and I have no money, or when one of my kitties brings a bird in the house to finish playing with. But oh well, such is life.

I really enjoy your writing.. Hope you are enjoying the life placed at a good mountainous region.
I may be wrong in mentioning 'desire is the root cause for all the troubles'. But can I say that negative desires are the root cause for all the problems. I too agree with you saying that 'trying to get freed from the pleasures of this world like a saint is also a desire'. I too get struck over here if i think on this.
I have thought for a few years on which is right and which is wrong in this world. But, I could not find any answer for the same. Now, I have started thinking that, whatever happens in this world is natural and there is nothing wrong and nothing right. Whatever we think is based on some force which acts on us. I take up most of the things as it is most of the time, not much postmortems. I would love to have your response..

Thank you for the compliment... I really enjoy your topics!
I used to spend a lot time going back and forth from feeling superior because I was right and somebody else was wrong, to feeling inferior because I was wrong and somebody else was right. Then one day I realized that if I bought into one then I automatically got the other along with it... like both sides were really just 2 parts of the same syndrome... the syndrome of feeling separated from who I really am.
You're right (hehehe), there really isn't any right or wrong. The world is exactly as it should be... full of variety. I have recently realized that I have not come here to change the world or anybody in it. We all choose our own experience with the thoughts we think, the beliefs we hold, and the desires in our hearts.
It's not my business what others are choosing. I have come to experience joy and express that joy wherever I can. If others are inspired with my example, that's even better, but still my only work is bringing myself up to the place where joy and passion can flow through me unimpeded. Things that don't make me feel good when I think them or observe them, I just turn my focus - my attention - to something that DOES make me feel good. (And sometimes that can be pretty hard!) But the more I do that the better I feel, and the better I feel the better my life gets.
And I have to say, having these conversations with you tonight is something that has made me feel very good! I'm so glad I found your posts!

Nice to have your comment. I too feel good that you are thinking in the same patter I do. I had a hard time many a times, when I tried to make a some of my friends understand that there is nothing wrong or right in this world. Sometimes, it would even become a hot discussion and we would loss our sleep the whole night.
But it is good that internet is a good source to get good friends from different places and to share the thoughts.
