I was just actually speaking to my hubby, he runs a non profit organisation called HUKO - Hug Ur Kids Organisation: www.hugurkids.com here in Australia, it deals with children who are abducted by a parent, much of this is done through spitefulness mainly.
He was just talking to me about a case he is handling here at he moment and how the mother is so stressed and full of despair cause her ex husband has taken off with their child, and no one knows where they are.
As a mother myself i an only imagine the dread she is feeling and the helplessness she must be enduring.
So i am wondering My lotters, has this happened to you.? Do you know of anyone this has happened to.? What were / are they feling and do you care to share this with me.?
My hubby is publishing a book about this type of act next year so i am curious to know more from others.
Oh by the way drop over to HUKO - www.hugurkids.com and whilst your there click on a few adverts on the right hand side, you'd be helpig HUKO alot of you did, and hey it only takes a few moments.
God bless.

No, this hasn't happened to me, but something fairly similar may happen this Friday afternoon ( I am in Adelaide).
I admire what your husband is doing. I have the site up & will have a good look.
Parentally abducted children must be a more common experience that people realise. It usually stems from one parent not having proper access to his/ her child., or in some cases, a vindictive parent who is out to make life very difficult for the ex partner.
My hubby has always had access to his kids 35% each fortnight. Three months ago, they ( and their mother)did something very bad, & he sent them back to live with their Mum fulltime.
Now he wants them back as he misses them very badly. He has written two letters stately very clearly that Family Court ordered access is to begin this Friday at 3.15pm (the usual time).
The trouble is, I think their Mother will not comply. I am the one who has top pick them up. If they are not there, I have to go straight to the police with the court orders, as this will be a breach. The trouble is, Family Courts are Federal, not State, so our police can not do much to force her to comply with the order.
So you can now see where & why these parental abductions occur.

That must be such heart wrenching but rewarding work that he is doing - not sure I'd have the strength to do it. I wonder do the majority of parents abduct the children as revenge/spite against the other parent or because they themselves cannot bear to be separated from the children and see it as the only option. It is so so sad that the children become the pawns in their parents actions.
