the cebu international convention center is the latest addition to the province of cebu's famous infrastructure. its famous because this where the latest ASEAN Summit was held. Moreover, it is famous because of the controversy and the charges of corruption attached to it. It is alleged that this structure was over priced in order to facilitate kick backs for the government officials that will be used during the 2007 elections. Moreover, after the very expensive undertaking, the people of cebu started asking what was the benefit that the people of cebu got after the summit? The CICC now is not really generating much income. And sadly the basic social services of the province has somehow declined in effeciency. AS the people would say, we spent so much on a building forgeting the most important part of governance... service. basic services. Well, anyway, i mean not to criticize, i just reverbrates the common sentiment of the people on CICC.
