We took my daughter out this year with a group of friends, alot of walking. It was probably some of the best exercise we'd had in a bit. But we were sort of shocked to see people driving from house to house with there children. Do you think this is cheating?

Sure is cheating...what happened to walking. Who ever the driver isn't that bright anyway. I am sure they paid for it in gas. But that's a sign of the times. Word is Americans are obese...and that is another example why. I could see it now! Drive by trick or treaters. I guess pigs will start flying soon too. lol. Is anything sacred anymore?

I do see the point about cold Halloweens. and Americans are putting on the pounds. My point I suppose is that part of halloween for me growing up is the group dynamic. Brothers, sisters, cousins whatever having fun walking house to house raidng the candy already collected etc. Driving seems to steal the thunder. We always had a parent or chaperone for safety purposes. Just seems like less fun in the car

How is it cheating? Are there rules for how you can get from house to house now? We've had some really cold trick or treat nights, and we've taken the car so the children could stay warm between houses or at least once or twice during each block. I don't see anything wrong with it.
