I wonder how many other myLotters use the plastic folding board called FlipFold, or a similar product, to help fold laundry? I did an experiment and found that a stack of 12 of my hubby's T-shirts folded with this gadget took up much less space than the ones we folded by hand. The stack looked better, too, all precisely folded to the same 9 x 12 size and new-looking.
Have you seen this device for sale in a store? Did you buy and try it or walk right by it? If you have one, what color is it. They come in blue, yellow, green, and pink. Has anyone seen a purple one yet?

Hello Drannhh,
I remember seeing something like this on a tv infomercial some time ago. I haven't personally experienced it. I'm still folding clothes the old fashioned way -- silly me. The only article of clothing that I truly dislike folding are socks. Might you also have a nifty tip or tool for dealing with those pesky little items?
Thanks for the tip. If I see this product, or a similar one I'll definitely give it a looksy.

Yeppers, LadyLuna, after trying this and that and the other thing, none of which worked very well, and I share your dislike for "processing" socks, there is this brilliant invention:

The animation of their web page is even better than the one of FlipFold, I might add. Glad to be of service.

Oh, you are an absolute wealth of knowledge!
I love this idea. I showed it to Hubby, who's now all concerned that he's going to have to start cuffing his socks. Of course, under his light-hearted grumblings, he did say something about the inventor probably poised to make millions.
I'm actually thinking about trying these. Thanks Drannhh!

Yes, good illustrations on both of those sites. They show just how to use the product, and I hope you will like it as much as I do. It takes a couple tries before you are folding the shirts as easily and neatly as the iTube video shows, but although I am not quite as fast as the inventor, my stack of shirts looks just as good. Did you notice that they sell a "Jr" size for smaller garments--it makes them 7" x 10" I think. The bigger one is perfect for T-shirts, but the smaller sized one is quite handy, too. Let me know how you like it!

I have never heard of the device called "flip fold" . Sounds like it folds nicely. I thought you were going to tell us how long it took to fold those 12 shirts..How long did it take to fold the 12 shirts with the "flip fold"?

How long it takes depends somewhat on the mood I am in and the condition the clothes are in when they come out of the laundry, but from crumpled laundry heap to neat stack it would take me a little under 10 minutes, I think for a stack of 12. When we first got this toy I did time myself and was able to fold each T-shirt in 15 or 20 seconds, but that would be about the fastest I could go and doesn't include the time I like to spend giving each shirt a couple shakes and carefully putting it on the pile, lol.
It would be very interesting to hear from others who have the device and learn how long it takes them!

Hi my friend.I didn't know at first what you was talking about, but I looked at website and it looks pretty cool.I think I am gonna buy one probably too.it is probably saving much time when doing a laundry. I see you are looking for purple one, you favorite color , hah? :)

Purple IS my favorite color, but since laundry is not my favorite activity even as much as I like this helpful product, probably I would choose a different color, maybe a cheerful yellow or calming pink. But a choice may not be necessary as it doesn't look like this tool is ever going to break and I wouldn't buy a new one just to get a different color.

I think those things are great. But I never knew that they sold these. Where did you get yours? The only places I saw them were at retail stores where employees were folding clothes...But even if I had this wonderful devise, it wouldn't solve my main problem of actually putting them away.

Hi, drannhh! The thing you described really interests me, and of course I will take a look in the Internet or look around in supermarket nearby. If I find one the same as what you described and usefull to me, I'll buy it.
I'll very appreciate it if you could provide some pictures or the websites where have the pictures of FlipFold or similar products.
Best regards!

Glad you like the concept. I hope you can locate it where you live because although the manufacturer does ship internationally, the postage would probably be pretty high. I don't know if they serve Qatar. Good luck and thank you for visiting.
