Although I never did read the poem or any book based on it, I've read about it and I saw Beowulf and Grendel a while back. In the trailer for the upcoming movie, Beowulf, is that Gollum-esque, thing Grendel? I know he's a monster, but I always thought of him as a more barbaric kind of thing, similar to the Grendel from Beowulf and Grendel (he was a troll, basically a man but huge, insanely strong, and with way more hair). I liked that portrayal a lot. What do you think?
