Remember me when i am gone away
Gone far away into the silent land.
When you can no more hold me by the hand
Nor by the hand
Nor i half furn to go yet turning stay
You'll tell me of our future that you planned.
Only remember me,you understand it would be late to counsel then to pray.
And if you should forget me for a while and afterwards remember
Do not grieve.
With the darkness and corruption leave
A vestiae of the thoughts that once i had
Better by far you should forget and smile than that you should remember and be sad.

I love this poem. It reminds me of my past husband who abandened us this year. I keep trying to reach out to him but I have had it and now he just emailed me asking me for my phone number. all I want to say to him is remember me because thats all you will have. I don't want the pain of knowing if he wants me or don't because he left me and my son back in March and he's done a lozy job of keeping in touch with me and saying I am sorry. I want to help mined our relationship. I am through with him, and I don't even want any other men in my life that is dating wise. I have been scarred by my high school sweetheart. I thought he loved me and my son, when he asked me to marry him 4 years ago. then this year he just leaves without telling me why and out of the blue he calls me Sept this year, hoping I will get back together with him. thanks for posting this wonderful poem.
