India is indeed a beautiful country with different cultures, languages with different dialects, and different clothing styles and traditions ranging from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Mumbai to Kolkata. In all four directions we find that all these cultures are distinct from one another and yet hold something similar. Every language of every state has it's own beauty. The traditional art forms are so metaphysical and sublime. And over the years, this country has seen birth of religions and castes and communities which on the negative side has led to more communalism and group clashes. But still we dream of a different India which would be free of all these misunderstandings and hatred and bloodshed. That's what Gandhiji had dreamed of. That's what Netaji wanted and that's what even the legendary Bhagat Singh sacrificed his life for. My question is, are we really forgetting their efforts? Have we lost track of our roots? Today politics doesn't seem to have a meaning rather than fulfilling selfish needs. Today democracy has lost it's true meaning. People don't have the power of voice. My question is, in the midst of this chaos, would we be able to build a new India which is free of terrorism, communal clashes, and also an India which is not divided in states according to language, and region, rather all of us be united under one single nationality as Indians? Jai Hind!!!

You right cobradene, politics has change the thinking of leaders, todays leader are not there to sacrifice, but they force others to do what they want. these politicians with poor vision are ruining efforts of our old role models. But we are only electing them knowingly as there is very little choice and diffrence between two leaders to be elected. Due to this young educated and good peoples does not like to enter in politics and so the selfish and charcterless leaders are elected. These leaders take poor and ill- minded opprtunistic peoples along with them trying to feed communalism in our mind to save their seats. These are all temporay effects sooner are later we good peoples leading the country and india will lead the world.
with "vande- matram" as the spirit.

Thanks for your wonderful views. Let's hope there will be a great visionary sooner or later who will take the country by the fire of wisdom and revolution and be an example to the whole world. There have been visionaries earlier but they were never understood. We never could and still haven't understood Gandhiji's vision of the future. We had great visionaries like Ashoka, Akbar and Gandhiji and Subash Chandra Bose and also Shri Aurobindo. But their visions haven't been converted into reality up to now. That would need a great effort. Jai Hind!!!

India is not devided according to languages. People all over the country loves and respects each other. NGO's from the country goes to heal the wounds of people who are suffering. Youth is going to play a major role to overcome the problems that the nation is facing.

Please don't misunderstand my post. I am not saying people are divided. I am saying the states are made based lingustic culture. But please try to look at the larger picture where problems are arising. I'm not trying to be negative here. I'm trying to be positive.

We are a tolerant nation and as Vivekananda said in America that India has gathered in it's bosom all the religions and we have accepted them as true. And I truly respect it as well. But there are major political issues arising and I am trying to touch the political concern and not the common man. Please take it as a political isuue because all this is created by politics. So, my question is, will the politics ever change?

Certainely it will change. Now world is comming closure and our people are also watching the happenings. They are now comparing the difference between good and bad. As more and more educated people will involve in the process the change is inevitable.

hi cobradene,
i agree to what has been said by you. Its true and very much necessary to find and build a new and better India.I also fail to understand that inspite of we saying that the our country is different from the other as it has varied religions and different caste, credd and diff religion people their food, style of living and many more things but we show it as an advantage but we use it as our weapon to fight amongst us. We generally use the religions as wepoans , y do we do that juz if a certain people speaking in different languages dosent mean that we should fight with them and create violence in our country for what reason as ultimately we are humans and the loss is of humans rather than of the religion actaully we should as an individual start preaching amongs us and people aorund us.all the best.jai hind.

Thanks for understanding. I was just scared if this post might create a controversy. But you have understood exactly what I mean to say. And my question also goes back to the day India was divided into different states based on linguistic culture and not infrastructure. For eg. Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have been divided such where the river cauvery flows in to Tamil Nadu and the Dam is in Karnataka. Now, shouldn't they have formed a state in such a manner where the whole infrastructure of water flow comes in one single state so as not to create differences between people? Our leaders failed to look at future consequences before making decisions and even today they continue to do the same thing.

hi friend,
i feel even if the states have been divided or formed like this but now there should not be any differences developed in our hearts just for this that the people stay in different state or speak different language or have different food or wear different clothes..i cant understand this we all pray to god may be different but we all beleive that theres only one creator of this world whom we all beleive in and call up and pray to him when we need.
