I dont think so?Age should not be a factor for anyone in any game if you are 100% fit.Matthew Hayden is a perfect example.what matters is the level of energy of a player.Munaf Patel,of age 25 is young but he has an extreme low energy level in the field.These sort of players should be removed.I think there should not be a lower age limit and the upper can be around 40.Sanath Jayasuriya is another example?

I do not think that there should be a retirement age in any proffessional sport. If it is an individual sport then it is the person who has to decide when to quit. And if it is a team sport like cricket, then the selection committee needs to decide when the player's contribution margin is lower. I like the practice that is followed in some football clubs where in they give only one year contract extensions to people above 30. Of course, the contracts in Indian cricket are just 1 year anyhow. But, the idea is that give more leeway of failures to youngsters and be a bit more hard on the seniors if they fail to perform. Cheers! Ram

I feel that performance and fitness of the players should be main criteria for selection into Indian cricket team. As with age players get more experienced. And you nice blend of youth and experience to succeed at international level.

i think BCCI should consider the last 10 performance or need to make some formula ..by which they can qualify other star players, Age should not be the criteria , unless itz 35-37 . who knows will find a better players after certain age :)

No mam I am not agreed with you at this topic. Some players start his career after 27-28 year and if they play nicely. So how can they retire?? Playes are not coming from home directly. They passed most of time in playing with thinking to be a good player and have to play for nation. They cann't do anything and anywhere if they are failed or unfortunately they are not selected.

According to me ther should not be a fixed age limit for players because different players have different fitness levels some play well level even at 37 where as some get ousted at 33 so it really depends on players whether they should continue to play or not

I don't think there shud b any retirement age for the cricketers.. They shud have the freedom to decide themselves on when they shud retire.. It wud b very harsh if there's a certain retirement age for all of them.. They shud have complete liberty on whther to keep playing or to hang their boots...

hi buddy, i m not agree with ur view think abt australian cricket they probably start their career from the age of thirty nd they r ruling cricket arena nd one thing more experience must count in cricket its a gentle men game is all other thing in T20 game where u can introduce ur youngster or fresher to cope with the international pressure then they brought to longer format
