I was just wondering what your preference is Size 0 or curvy. I recently received a message from a young lady (this was on another site), saying how much inspiration ive given her, (i do modelling you see, and am certainly no size 0), her message actually was quite sad, she went on to say that she gets picked on at school cause of shes not a size 0,8, etc and how now she lacks confidence. She said how nice it was for someone thats not stick thin to get praise for it. So I was was wondering what your views are?

I think that as long as you are healthy then you are beautiful. I don't think that looking good should be a size or a number. It should be if you are healthy and how good you feel about your self. It's amazing how judgemental people can be. People are always trying to categorize everyone else. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and the size of your clothing has nothing to do with it.

Bah, size 0 is for women who have no meat on them, men who want sticks have no "cushion for the pushing", if you know what I mean? Women, be happy if you are a size 6, or a size 12, or a size 18. There is nothing wrong with that. Just be happy with who you are, but do remember not gain too much weight, it can be bad for your health. Everything in moderation. I have lost a lot of weight recently, but only because I was overweight for a long time and it was causing me to have some health problems. I am just saying that you do not have to be a size 0 just to get the man of your dreams or just to impress people. Being a size 2 to 18 is just fine.

How old was this person who messaged you? I'm asking because I know that typically in the adolescent age there's a large amount of peer pressure to look and act a certain way. But even further than that, amidst all the insecurity and the angst is the fact that plenty of teenagers seem bored. And when bored, can pick out differences in others or deliberately provoke another in order to cause a bit of controversy and get some reaction. In a sense, a lot of the teasing she experiences may not be because of her size, but because of all the angst and insecurity that plenty of other highschoolers are going through - and their obvious inability to deal with this. For me, it really depends on the person and not the size. I've seen plenty of really attractive people who wear larger sizes, and also plenty of thin people who seem beautiful and attractive to me. I'm glad you were able to provide inspiration for her, and I hope her confidence increases with time.

That is a shame, especially as it seems to be upsetting her a great deal. I know how hard it can be to be intimidated or made fun of by other kids. Has she tried to go to any higher form of authority in order to stop the teasing?

Since I was a young child, I've always been repulsed at some level by the skinny people. I didn't know why back then, but I do remember having a fear of them of some sort. Finally, in my early 20's, I had to analyze why. I felt that they were sickly and I was afraid to be near them. Well, low and behold, turns out that being skinny is just about as unhealthy as being obese. Honestly I think it was a natural reaction. Something primal. Just like it always turned me on to see a girl/woman with a little bit of tummy. Didn't know why back then either. But a little extra turns out to be good for overall physical endurance. So the long and short of it, I've always preferred a larger woman. I hope this young lady will experience the praise and support she deserves soon. It's really a shame how society punishes women for not being what Hollywood and the fashion industry consider beautiful.
