url feed and RSS feed

Friends, can please help me to know the difference between url and RSS feed url .To be frank Iam new to this and like to know the difference because I have come across this in many blog posting sites.

RSS: Really Simple Syndication RSS is a Web contents syndication format. Its name is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. I think the best way I can think of is from what I understand, RSS is basically coded in an XML document and keeps track of stuff or soemthing like that. That's what I've discovered on that. I've not really seen too many things on url feed to be honest. I just know about RSS. There's actually an online tutorial on that if you go to W3Schools.com. There's a section on there about learning RSS if you're interested.
