Can we take medicine with us to America?

Next month,I with my classmates will have a chance to visit America.In these days,we are planing to prepare what we should take to America.Some living products must be taken.Besides these,my classmates want to take some medicines because they may have some diseases.At the same time,the price of medicines in America must be more expensive than in our country.But we don't know whether these medicines can be taken to America.Who can tell us?
