i was asked the same question yesterday
i don't have many blacks actually, in fact i owned lots of bright colors
but recently since i gain a 'little' weight,
i wear black more often than usual LOL
black color makes us looks slimmer ^^
and black looks more elegant i think
even if the outfit is just a plain one, it looks great to wear
i have one with a low v-neck, shorter sleeves and a longer body length
how about you ??

hi roniroxas
hmm, i don't think black will make you look old
my mother wear blacks to many formal occasions,
instead it makes her looks old, i think it makes her magnificent
it makes her looks simple but enchanting
i'm sure it did good on you too
and by the way, 37 is not that old, hahaaa !!
have a great time roniroxas.. ^^

Yes I have a lot of thing with black color in my closet.i don't know why, but probably becuase it is easy to suit with other things.I have a lot of black sweaters and few pairs of black pants too.you are right black make us not only slimmer, but it is also elegant color and very simple one and you cannot mess up anything with black. And it looks really great on everyone, although kids shouldn't wear it.

I used to wear black outfits so much that friends who know me admitted to labelling me 'the girl in black' before they got to know me. Weird thing is, I never realized that most of my clothings were black. I can't exactly explain why I like wearing black. Maybe it suits my skin tone? Maybe it reflects my mood? Maybe I'm just a dull person who sticks to one color? A lot of maybes. I never really pondered the question. I guess I wear black - just because. Nevertheless, I am now trying to wear different colors after that 'girl in black' statement from my friend.

hi whimsicalsenora
hahaa, i hope you don't got upset with that label
i don't think i can easily put a label based on that
and i don't think you're a dull one too
the color reflects the taste
and black is one of a glamour touch ^^
so be confident on that ^^

Almost my entire wardrobe is black. I love wearing it and I have to say I look good in it, being a red-head. I grew up on the streets of San Francisco and Hollywood and somehow black always made me feel safe, like 'you can't touch this'. But these days I'm feeling like I would like to add more color to my life, like I'm out of balance or something. I want to wear clothing that matches the color of the chakras, like red pants, an orange sash around my hips and a yellow one around my midriff, with a little green top, a blue choker, and a violet crocheted cap, so I could be a walking rainbow. But so far I only made myself a pair of green velvet pants which for some reason I wear when I'm practicing my fiddle. I have the red material to make my new pants from (a set of red drapes i got at a yard sale), but I haven't made them yet, and right now I'm sitting here wearing a pair of black danskin pants and a big black sweater that belonged to my brother (until I confiscated it!) Oh, and a pair of warm black fuzzy socks.

hi zigzagbuddha

mind to tell me more about it ??
anyway thanks for responding zigzagbuddha
have a nice day ^^

I don't know much about the chakras either. I've read a book or two about them, that's all. I know their locations and the colors associated with them, and that's about it.
I just like the idea that I might have a sort ethereal body that is vibrant living color, and I thought it would be good to help them shine clear and strong by matching their colors in the physical dimension, and by finding my balance.

I have three or four black tops but don't wear them as often as I wear blue. Blue is my favorite color so most days that's the color I wear. I do think black is very elegant and sexy. I prefer brighter colors.

Most my clothes are in blue, red and black color. I don’t purposely choose a particular color of clothes to put on. Other than sunny days I like to wear dark color clothes like dark blue and black. We would not feel so warm if we put on lighter color clothes during the scorching sunny days. I do believe darker colors like dark blue and black could always make us look slimmer and cool.

I usually have a lot of bright colours in my wardrobe..but this year for school i decided to co-op at a hairstyling college, where their dresscode is strictly black and white. I actually had to go out and buy some more black stuff just because I didnt have any.. but now i have a lot of black pants due to co-op and work, not so many black shirts tho

I used to wear alot more than I do now. Since April's fire and our tight budget I've had rotten luck replacing all my black clothing. I wear it as often as possible, not because I need to look thinner...but because it's my favorite color.
I very much dislike most bright colors, lol. Hurts my eyes.

Actually I don't wear much black. It doesn't suit my coloring. I prefer the "new black" which is chocolate brown. For me it's much more flattering and slimming. Black actually makes me look bigger because it conceals the contours and just makes me look like a shapeless blob...well ok maybe blob isn't the right word but you get my point anyway :)
My favorite brown outfit is a pair of boot cut trousers in matte chocolate brown that I paired with a belted button up top with gathered short sleeves that is also chocolate brown but with a more satin finish. To give it all a "pop" of color (and to make it a little more practical for a nursing mom) I leave the top few buttons on the top undone to reveal a dark pink cami.

hi foxyfire33
i got your point, ahaha LOL
well, maybe you can have one addition option for your 'new black' which is dark gray
i think it's cool one,
i once saw a dry washed jeans in a gray color
and it looks amazingly stylish ^^
thanks for responding foxyfire33 !!

Yes sometimes. I like the black color. It makes you look slim as well as elegant. Same goes to white. I like medium sleeves. I like to wear it with a sky blue jeans. I love casuals.
