Ok im confused did or did not master cheif die in Halo 3 i thought he didnt but my friends keep telling me he did. So what exactly happened?

he did not die. he is frozen in a pod and is awaiting rescue, a probable thing used for future sequels lol

for everyone responding in this topic there is no more sequels or movies to halo 3 halo war comes out this year and it isnt a halo sequel and matercheif didnt die got freezed

and for got to say bungie sueing microsoft so there will not be any more halos on 360 but lets think about sony or nintendo

No. He didnt die. If you watch after the credits at the very end of Halo 3 there is a film clip showing that the cheif and cortana are still alive.

He is off floating in space somewhere with Cortana. Hopefully this will lead to a Halo 4 in the comming years. I know Bungie said no more but we can always hope. (And email and harass and what not.) Why stop making Halo games when they are so popuar?

ok well one thing i will say is that he didint die but you have to play it on legendary and get specile ending to know that

If you watch after the credits you see that after the cheif and cortana go through the portal to get away from the exploding halo the cheif goes in some freezing chamber to wait untill help arrives or something.
