Is your child's bookbag too heavy?

Ive heard of some 2nd graders carrying around 20 lbs. Isnt that outrageous!?!? Whats your input?

Yes the luggage system of education is screwed up.
Did you notice that as you grow older, the bag you carry to school gets smaller? Elementary students would haul their huge bags with wheels, Teens would carry small backpacks, and college students would carry itty-bitty shoulder bags. Outrageous to the infinite degree o.o

You heard true. But my child is facing and bearing more than 20 lbs. I want to carry her bag, but she does not allow me to take her bag. I use to go to take her to school bus. She feels nice to keep her school bag on her back. You should not worry. Make him or her in practice to carry such bag as the loadings of future life is more heavy than the 20 lbs school bag.

My son is in 2nd grade. His bookbag is always very light. He only brings home his folder, an AR book, and whatever book report book they have to do. His teacher has them do all of their textbook work at school, so they do not have to lug heavy books back and forth to school. If he had to bring home his textbooks his bookbag would be much heavier.

i like to welcome you to my lot
in Australia every grade is different and the books are less heavier
but when you get to grade 3,4,5,6
they are more heavier my daugher is in grade 2 her books were heavy but they have it in plastic bags and they have boxes of tissues they have to carry but i help with that it must be different in amercia
