I'm with you on this one! I especially love the Dark Crystal! I still have it as my favorite "movie". Puppeteering is of course more costly and I understand its demise in the film industry. But my gawd - the awesomeness of a film with skilled puppeteers just can't be matched by CGI! No offense - CGI is great but remote and I feel it as I watch a movie that has it. Maybe someone will try it again. I would love to see a major comeback of this craft.
