mushroom planting

I know a lot of neighbours who have mushrooms coming up in their lawn these days I think because the dirt they use is mushroom mulch, so maybe just bury your stalks and parts of the mushroom and I think you have to put them in a dark place but i think they would need a little sun to get started....maybe
