Didn't see our city on the list. We heat our house using gas but if I had a choice, I'd convert it to electricity. The expense of changing service would, I assume, be costly. On the other hand, I would think electricity would be cleaner and safer. We really don't pay that much for gas since our house was insulated and thermal windows installed a few years ago. Cut the expense almost in half.

This has got to be one of the dumbest articles I have ever seen. How about most expensive buy setting up and index...to compare the cities in the northeast to Miami is not news. Duh, I did not need to read to know it costs more to heat your home in Maine then in Florida. How about breaking the cost down by degree days! Is it more expensive to heat a home in Cleveland then Ohio. And is that due to the age and insulation in the homes or to the cost of energy.

Seems like DC is the 4th priciest place to heat your home - I'm in Virginia so its likely that our heating bill well be up this winter!

Cleveland is on the list, and that's close enough to where I live. We do have huge oil bill during the cooler months.
