He was a damn good actor as well, but never really got any serious roles. In away people abused his popularity.

I've been a great fan of Elvis since the first time I heard him sing. I saw him live in Miami, Florida in 1957, when I was 15. I was crazy about a guy at school who looked so much like Elvis and he was at the concert that day. I was in 7th Heaven! He will always be the King of Rock & Roll to me.

Elvis will always be the king. He's my idol and I listen to him on the radio each chance I get. Friends go so far as to call me when there is an Elvis special on television. I do have several calendars and other items on a wall in the computer room. Rock n Roll lives through Elvis.

I agree with you completely
The over night video success that is created today Elvis had to work for by traveling to small shows across the country to become well known.
I actually was able to see Elvis in person in Mobile, Alabama about 2 months before he passed away and that show left a huge impression on me.
I was born Jan 8th so I share the same birthday and every year I dress up and do an Elvis impersonation for the local Relay For Life we raised 100,000 dollars last year from this small town.
Elvis is definitely the King Of Rock n Roll in my book.

He is and will always be the king. It's 2007 and his empire is still going strong. He was a great natural talent and extremely attractive when he was younger. I am a big Elvis fan !

Surely, Elvis is still the King. Nobody can take that title away from him. Even John Lennon said that without him there is nothing.

Elvis will always be the king to me. Ive been a fan all my life and try to buy every release availible. Elvis wasnt just a singer, he was a genius with his voice. The only other voice who can come near to the feelings of elvis would possibly be Roy Orbison. Elvis could sing a telephone directory listing and still sound brilliant. I do think though in the 60s he was given a raw deal sometimes in some of the music soundtracks (Old McDonald from Double Trouble springs to mind.)

He is still the King. Nobody above or beside him if you ask me. He mastered all kinds of music ranging from good old rock'n'roll to Gospel and he was up date with all the new stuff and even all the older stuff. Today I think most artist are branded and placed in one category and they seldom get to show what they are really able to do. Robbie Williams has tried different types of music and showed that he can sing more than just pop and rock but still: Elvis had it all. He could capture the audience and entertain everybody. And I could go on in may praise...

Elvis is still the King of Rock and Roll to me.
I enjoy his music still today. My opinion is
he sang songs like no one else could. He was
a great preformer who gave it his all when he
did sing a song.
