I have 2 kids from my Ex. And he wants to cut their allowances for some reason I dont know..You experts here in mylot..what will you do if you are in my case. Im in a new realtionship now, and were starting a family, but what i dont want to happen is, my ex wants to cut his responsibilities to my kids. Not because i want to have ties with him im just doing this for my kids' future. I appreciate your answer. Thanks!

I think that the fact that he is no longer with you should NEVER matter. The ONLY thing that matters is the children. Maybe you should ask him how he is going to feel when the children are older and find out that he wasn't there for them when they needed him the most? The children are his and he has a responsibility to their care. Go for the money. You have the right. Your children have the right. I am not the type to ever ask for alimony for myself but, I will fight to the bitter end for child support.

Yeah I will surely fight for their right to have their allowance. Because he agreed on the responsibilty to bring the kids in ths world first, he never wanted those kids and I fight for their right to live ..now im fighting for the security they need in this world. Because i want to give them goodlife and he is earning so much, i just ask for a little cut from hisearnings and for me i know im doing the right thing. Thanks!

I think by law he has to pay a certain amount. Is your new husband happy to look after this other man's children? Kids are so expensive these days and they are around a long time. It's good to see you and your new husband planning your family in stead of rushing in and not having the means to keep the family together. I don't know what I'd do if I was you. I'd think carefully before having more children, that's for sure. Good luck sweety.

Where does your ex live? If he lives in Australia, he has no rights to cut the maintenance he pays for his kids. The level of payment is based on his income. In Australia, you will be able to go to the Child Support Office. Even if your ex is not in Australia, try the Child Support Office anyway, as they may be able to tell you what to do to get the correct amount of maintenance,.

What I heard from my bloke is right Jen, my hubby now is an Aussie and he told me about this things about the Child Support, He is living in Singapore and I know how strong SIngapore and Australia is, with regards to the child support My Aussie hubby told me if he cuts the kids' allowance you can chase him for the allowance that your kids deserve. And I want to do that, because he created and left me with responsibilities and I want the future for my kids. Im not a hungry money woman I just want what my kids deserve to have from their biological father. Thanks Jen!
