I'm not talking about your wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend. I mean other people doesn't even have to be family. To me kissing on the lips is very intimate and I only reserve that for my lover. Once my brother kissed me on the lips and I was very grossed out. My uncle did it once too. I hadn't seen him and a few years. I was used to getting a hug and a kiss on the cheek from any one of my uncles and I don't mind that but then he kissed me on the lips that one time I was like ewwww! I only kiss my parents in the cheek. I get skeeved out when I see some parents and kids kiss on the lips.

I think it's ok for little kids to kiss you on the lips, say they are giving gramma a kiss goodbye. But I'm with you on the rest of it, I only kiss my husband on the lips, that too me is reserved for your lover. Friends and family usually only kiss on the cheek, anything else to me would be like they were coming onto me or something, yuck. That's just my view.

I used to kiss my children on the lips, but only when they were very small, like months old. I don't want any of my family kissing me on the lips, and I would pull back if that were to happen. Maybe if this happens again, you should tactfully explain your disgust to the relative so they understand and it doesn't happen again.
