Does the age of a discussion matter if you post or not?

Does it matter to you how old a discussion is? For example if a post is a few weeks or a few months old do you still post? I usually only post in discussions that are recent. I usually don't post in a discussion that is more than two days old.
I feel if I post in very old discussion that no one will see it. Maybe the original poster might go back and look at it, maybe not but if it's really old like a couple weeks-months they probably won't. Do you have a cutoff for how old a discussion is when you post?

i don't care about it. the oldest discussion i response is about one months ago. as i know a old discussion is behind the recent ones, but when you post a response it will go to a new position, go to the first place. so i think it is not necessary to worry about no one take attention about it.

I don't think it matters, I post in old discussions whether weeks or months, although I have come across a few close to a year old or more and wonder should I.... Would anyone care..... maybe I will look like an idiot?????? so I sort of stop and think No but it depends if it looks like the person who started the discussion would appriciate the input still and then I will....

No, it doesn't really matter to me how old the post is, as far as it attracts my attention.. I only go for discussions that suit my interest, and never have I seen the starting time of any discussion here on mylot.. It dosen't really matter to me at all...

For me, it does not matter if the posts is already weeks old or more than that as long as I like to respond to it and like the topic then I would give my reply to that posts. And also I enjoy reading other peoples opinion on the topics that interest me.

I don't make a discrimination on the age of a post, but I usually only respond to the recent ones because I go by what I have in my e-mail. Once you reply to a discussion, it goes to the top of the list anyway, so someone will see it eventually. I just really go by if I have a response to the subject matter or not.

If the topic is interesting, it doesn't matter how old it is. I will comment to it. Then when I browse through the list again that discussion is now on top. There is a good chance the author will see from their list of discussions they started that there is a new comment to their discussion.
Happy posting..
