This Thursday, 8th.November, the Hindus in my country will be celebrating Deepavali (Diwali). Although i learnt about the history behind the festival/ celebrations, i cant quite remember it... only that it's a celebration of "the Good winning over the Bad". I am sure many of our fellow mylotters will be happy to fill in the details. It's declared a Public Holiday here in our country, since the Malaysian Indians make a quite a big percentage of the country's population. It's quite an occasion, the Indian community will hold 'open houses' and invite friends from the other races to join in the festivities. I believe there many people who celebrate Deepavali, all over the world, so Happy Deepavali to you all... and do share how you celebrate this day.

Happy Diwali - India is a land of festivals. Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated with fervor and gaiety.
Good discussion - thank you 4mymak. The right time greeting "Happy Deepavali" to all members here. The day for "Festival of Lights". The festival is celebrated by young and old, rich and poor, throughout the world to dispel darkness and light up their lives. The festival symbolizes unity in diversity as every country celebrates it in its own special way. Life need lights for happiness. Where happiness is the main objective in everyone's life. May peace and happiness to all human kind.
