Without keyboard....

Once my mouse just stopped to work and for many days we had to do all the work with keyboard only. Well, that was not much trouble for me as I am a 'keyboardist' (as my sister calls me) and had found beforehand how to move mouse pointer with the help of keyboard.
But what about opposite? Have you ever used your computer without keyboard? There's a helper there called online keyboard. I hope many people know about it. How much it helps you? And which type of operations will you perform on your computer if without keyboard??
One of my hostel mates had pc but all three(or 4) keyboards of his were just unusable. All he did on the computer was to listen songs and watch movies, as games too demand indulgence of keyboard. When I told him about online keyboard, he was excited but very soon he just stopped working with it.
So what are your ideas about this situation? :)

You are welcome:)
And.... That's common. You use something (especially computer;) ) for a long period and suddenly you find a new button or new command you had been unaware of so long. That's the joy of finding *_*

Thanks for showing interest. :)
As the name suggests, it must be 'online' keyboard related to internet, but it's more simple than that. But first I must caution you that I'm only an XP user.
Now: Go to Utility Manager through menus; and if you like the path is as follows: Start button---All Programs---Accessories---Accessibility---On-Screen Keyboard.
Ahem! Sorry I just saw it's called 'On-screen' not 'Online' keyboard. Sorry again!
The convenient shortcut for Utility Manager is: Press Windows key+U and then start keyboard with a smile;)
Best of lucks!!

Well thanks for this useful site :)
But I intended to ask what will you do when you have NO keyboard, only mouse to work with. That will be less difficult maybe, but still....

I don't think I could ever function without either a mouse or a keyboard. I write for a living, and for me to depend on an onscreen keyboard substitute would drive me crazy!

That's absolutely right! Maybe that's why my friend did away with this stuff :)

I have never tried using the computer without a keyboard, but I did have reason to use it without a mouse once when it packed in. I usually have a few spares of each now, which is easy since they are both quite cheap items.
I am quite comfortable witheither keyboard or mouse, although there are definite limitations in either case. I tend to stick to whichever I am using providing that it is convenient, and only change if benefit justifies it.

.... first of all sorry for obvious reasons.
Now keeping spares is a good idea!

I too once face the problem but not entire keyboad.
Many keys not working i used virtual key board software for many days.
except for writing the documents we can use taht with out any problem.
now a days many people using computer to listen songs watching vedios. for those it wont make any difference at all. but the real problem comes if they need to enter login password.
