Hi all. About 5 years ago, I noticed that every once in a while, I would be going about my normal business, and all of a sudden, my face would "fall asleep" and become all "pins and needles." At first, it was more annoying than anything... I would just wait a minute, and it would go away. However, as time passed, it bacame more frequent and intense, to the point where about 3 years ago, I would have an "attack" and my whole head and shoulders would become intense pins and needles and my mouth would freeze, I would become short of breath and my vision would become blurry, and it was agonizing. I was treated for these symptoms with Zoloft, and since then, I haven't had the problem. However, I have never heard of anyone experiencing the same thing. Has anyone ever heard of that?

I have heard of many instances of similar symptoms. There are different kinds of "palsy" symdromes that sometimes cause this, as well as different types of seizures. I have pretty severe anxiety attacks and dont experience things like this but I guess everyone is different. You could always ask the doctor for your EXACT diagnosis and join a support group for it, this way you would find people with similar experiences.
