Have u ever donated blood?

Unfortunately that's one thing I'm not able to do. I remember when I was young, seeing my parents come home with their "I donated blood today" stickers, and being so proud of them. I couldn't wait until I could do the same, when I turned 18. When I did turn 18, I was pregnant. You can't donate blood while pregnant or for 6 months after delivery. I went on to have 3 miscarriages and 4 more children, not in that order. So I was always either pregnant or recoving from a pregnancy and not able to donate blood. Now my youngest is 6, and I'm done having my family, and yet I still can't donate, and now will never be able to. I have high blood pressure, and I've been fighting medication for 6 years. It's a constant battle to keep my blood pressure stablized so I won't have to be medicated for hypertension. And while my blood pressure is this much of a problem, donating blood is not an option. Since my blood pressure is a predisposed genetic condition that I'll have for the rest of my life, I've had to accept that I won't be one of the ones who gets that "I donated blood today" sticker. But that's alright .. I do my part in other ways.

well, i've donated blood many times, more than 10 as far as i remember, there's nothing stop me from donating my blood unless that im suffering some illness. one thing that become my concern is that the blood donations are not always tested in my country, so in some several case, there's HIV transfer to the recipients ...
