There are a lot of energy drinks now in the market. Do you have a favorite one?
Do you know that according to studies these popular energy drinks does not only give us a jolt or energize us but also pump our heart and blood faster? It is not advisable for those who suffer from heart deseases and high blood pressures.

Yes, that's why they are called energy drink. it's like they awaken your body to become energetic. I love gatorade. I love its taste. And by the way, it contains minerals needed by the body when you are dehydrated.

Yes, gatorade has double purpose. Aside from giving extra energy, it is also good for preventing dehydration.

I quite like H2O for the taste.
But really, I read that we don't need energy drinks. Only those involved in competitive sports training require them.
For us, the drinks contain too much minerals and we will just get an overdose if we consume them. Even if we go running or play sports, our body fluids will be adequately replenished just by drinking plain water. :P

I know that fact also. Anything sweet, like cola, can energize you.

Drinking energy drink in a regular basis is just fine. Too much will cause harm.

My husband and I just purchased a healthy energy drink. It does not have caffeine. It does have some guarana. It is not full of sugar, like most energy drinks, but is sweetened with stevia, which helps level out your blood sugars. It also has some herbs, like ginseng, and some vitamins, and some amino acids. We actually are planning on trying to sell it. It does have green tea extract. It does not raise my blood pressure. I like it a lot. It is very fruity flavored, and I can get it in a powder and mix it myself. I like it much more diluted than it comes in a can or than it recommends. The other thing is that it encourages me to drink more non caffeinated liquids, instead of just my coffee. The energy I feel with this is not a jolt and crash type of energy, but is pretty steady.

I'm now more into the cheaper one's that are marketed here, the new powdered one's. I'm into Extra Joss, since I can simply buy it in less than 10 pesos and can enjoy almost 2 to 3 cups per sachet of it!;)
I used to take Gatorade, though I'm not sure if it's an energy drink. When I was still training on the vessel where my father used to work, I use Gatorade as my water there since he always gives me a whole case of it every week!;)
I have stopped using them, even those lipovitan and red bull. Yes, you are right, they have some side-effects if they are drank and abused almost everyday.

My favorite is RUSH...its light and keeps me going throughout the day. I haven't actually felt those faster heart beat because of those but I definitely feel so energize that I could really take on more extra mile. Because of it too, I don't feel tired at the end of the day and I still get to play and spend quality time with my children.

I've heard of lipovitan as an effective nergy drink. Because my brother-in-law used to drink that. And gatorade are also good for those suffering from LBM.
