Do you think that John Locke's Father was somewhat correct? What if the island actually is purgatory, and they are all dead? I know what you are thinking, Locke's dad said it was hell, not purgatory...but still. The woman who came to the island near the end of season 3 said that all the bodies were with the plane and that they were all dead. Yet, she says that to the same people while they are alive. Comments? Additions?

This has been discussed many times. And I am sorry to burst your theory bubble, but the producers have explicitly said it is NOT purgatory. They have said it on a podcast and on the tv special they did where they were interviewed. sorry.
