What is wrong with kids today?

Did you hear about the 16 year old accused of murder for hire of his parents? He is not doing jail time!
This is an abomination of the law; and shows how our mental health and justice system fails both these kids and the public as a whole. Please read on here:

I look at it like this: If he is smart enough to plot to have his parents killed then he is smart enough to go to jail for it. By not putting him in jail, they are sending the message that there is no punishment for what he did.
Personally, if I was the parents, I'd pack up and move and not leave a forwarding address. This kid sounds like trouble looking for outlet.

Parents, for the most part, naturally love their children and would never harm them (there are exceptions of course) but kids don't always feel the same way. All it takes is looking up the Menendez brothers to see how that can turn out.
