Signatures in Mylot Posts

It would be nice to have a feature that allows us to attach our signatures to our posts on myLot. This way we would be able to add our blogs, web sites or favorite citations to our posts and would give members more incentives to post more frequently.
Of course, signatures should be limite to very few lines to prevent any abuse and keep discussions clean.
Are you for adding such features on MyLot? Do you see any other pros or cons of adding signatures to posts?

I think it would be great to be able to add signatures automatically rather than manually however I do think that links to other sites shouldn't be allowed. I think if ppl want to promote their other sites then they should do it on their own profile and not all over MyLot or on other ppl's profiles(in the comment section). After all, MyLot is supposed to be a discussion site, not a marketing site.

A one-line signature would not hurt I think. What do you mean by automatically generated signatures?

By Automated signature I mean that you would set it like you do your avatar and then it would be added to all of your discussions and responses just like your avatar is added.

Thank you for you reply femimi. Signatures become abuse when they span over many many lines and when they include bulky images. Besides, I think that they are rather a good thing.
