do you usually add tags to your discussions/posts on mylot?

hi tony, I without fail add tags to all the discusions started as well as repsonded by me.At times if feel if i notice particualr dicussion and feel like repsonding but is not able to due to some reasons i fele like adding acool tag to it atleast so that the time i search it with the help of that tag i should also get that discussion included in my searches but this option is not available on mylot. Does giving the tags earns points ?

Hi, Usually whenever you respond to a discussion, the system asks for a tag, there is no wrong or there is no difficulty in tagging the answer, this will help in segregating the responses at mylot. What I usually do is as soon as the system asks for the tag, I tag it immediately.

Most often I add tags but there are times I am lazy and don't. Can't remember what I read in the guidelines about tags but think myLot suggests we do for each discussion.

ually tag my discussions and all. earlier i did not tagged all of them. later I realised thaT it helps to find out any discussion by category. after that i put it for every discussion.

i can not agree with you. as for me, the tag is useless, i never use that. i think just skipping it is a really good choice, and there will be tags added to your discussion automatically. why dont you just use the easy way?

I always add tags. I think it helps. Although it doesn't help a lot. At leat it somehow helps.

Hi friend.. Adding tags to ur discussions/posts is very important.. Its becoz sometimes, mylotters out here just search for the discussions by putting tags in the searchbox above.. So, if u have put tags in ur discussion, then ur post is bound to get noticed...

Not always. There are days that I add tags and there are also days that I don't. I regularly log-in to mylot but my time is either posting 5-25 discussions a day or no posts at all.. When I post or respond, I usually add a tag but not always. It really just depends on the discussion and what I feel about it.

Oh yes, I do.. for whatever good it does. I don't think people are paid extra for the extra effort in tagging so some don't bother with this aspect. I just treat it as a public service effort. :P

i add tags to discussions which i started as with which only over discussion will be shown to mylotters.i will select a tag depending on my discussion.i select them such that they will give some idea about my discussion.but when iam replying for others discussion i will skip the tags.

Hi,tonyllenium,you asked a interesting question.In general,after we post our discussions or responses,the system will ask us add tags in order to others can search our discussions quickly.So these tags are very useful for our discussions.I don't know why someone don't add their tags.Maybe they don't know how to add tags.I feel it is very easy.

I dont tag if im responding to discussions..I just tag whenever im initiating a discussion thats what I do.Because no clarity about tagging when you are responding to discussions and what it benefits you.

Well,I do add tags to my dicussion posts or responses.I just think sometimes it's convenient and easy to remember what you've post.What's more,now that mylot offered this service,why not give a try and see what's going on. I like trying new things cause if you don't try,you can never compare.After using it,then we'll see whether it's proper for us:)

I dont think so there is any difficulty in putting up tags to discussions we start and to those we respond after all the system itself prompts you to add tags to the discussions which can be added and submitted. I do this regularly.

I tag everything. I find it very useful because it helps categorizing discussions. Sometimes I find myself without discussions from my friends or from my interests to respond, so I use the searching box and if it weren't for tagging I don't know how I could find the discussions I'm interested in.

I used to use tags all the time when I first started, but then I suppose I got lazy and stopped using them after a little while..

yes i do put tags, i do put tags to when responding at discussion or making comments.

I always put tag on my discussion or response to discussions... i think they are imprtant if someone is searching for a particular topic... your topic might just become buried when there you do not put any tags on them...

hello tony,yes i do put tags on all my posts,or discussions.i just feel thats the right way to do it i guess but i dont think you really have to though.i am always afraid that if i dont put a tag on the post then it wont go through,so i never tried to leave it blank lol.pattie
